The act of praying is considered an essential and desirable activity within major faith traditions, such as Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness involves paying attention to what goes on inside and outside ourselves, moment by moment. It’s easy to lose touch with the way our bodies are feeling and to end up living “in our heads” without stopping to notice how those thoughts are driving our emotions and behavior. Becoming more aware of the present moment can help us understand ourselves better.
